Indoor Volleyball

The City of Kelowna offers indoor co-ed volleyball leagues at convenient locations around the city during the fall, winter and spring. Find a night that works for your team and sign up for some social yet competitive volleyball based on your team’s skill level. Whether you’re a rookie or have played for years, we have a league for you!
All indoor volleyball leagues are co-ed Sixes. Levels of play include Low Recreational, High Recreational, Low Competitive and High Competitive.
All teams participate in weekly league games on their chosen night. Game start times are staggered between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. nightly. Games have a one-hour time limit. Schedules are rotational through the available time slots (as facilities allow).
All teams qualify for playoffs. Playoffs are a single knockout bracket, with those from your night and division, that takes place the last two weeks of the season. Prizes are awarded for playoff divisional winners.
Register as a team or individual. Please call to confirm individual team offerings. Co-ed indoor volleyball teams are made up of a 4:2 gender ratio (self-identified). A minimum of two players of the same gender must be on the court at all times.

Divisions (renamed Fall 2026)

Beginner

The Beginner division (formerly Low Recreational) is for new or casual teams eager to learn, play in a relaxed setting, and enjoy social games. Teams are trying for three touches and are learning or developing their skills, including underhand or standing overhand serves. Teams typically have the player in the middle front row set. No jump serves allowed.

Recreational

The Recreational division (formerly High Recreational) is for teams looking to advance their skills and play fun, friendly games. Teams can consistently get three touches and are developing their spiking ability. Players are able to routinely bump or set the ball within the court. Top-tier recreational teams may begin experimenting with positions and rotations. No jump serves allowed.

Intermediate

The Intermediate division (formerly Low Competitive) suits teams with previous experience looking for friendly, moderately competitive games. Players are comfortable with the basics, making few unforced errors. Teams understand positions and rotations. Some teams may be starting to experiment with running plays and back row attacks. Jump serves allowed.

Competitive

The Competitive division (formerly High Competitive) is for experienced teams looking to play fun, fast-paced games at an advanced skill level. Players know their positions and have a strong knowledge of the game. Unforced errors and few and far between, with teams confident in different rotations and often running plays. Jump serves are allowed.
